Terms of Service
Last updated August 11, 2026. Early access agreement for Campfire Home families.
Agreement
By creating an account or using Campfire Home (“Campfire”, “the Service”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use Campfire on behalf of a household, you confirm you are authorized to do so.
Early access
Campfire is offered in early access. Features may change, break, or be removed. We will try to avoid disruptive data loss, but the Service is provided “as is” during early access. Please report issues to campfire@hourglasssystem.com.
Accounts
- Keep your credentials confidential and use a strong password.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and household members you invite.
- We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service or pose a security risk.
Plans, trials, and billing
Free and paid plans are described on our Pricing page. Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Trials (when offered) convert to paid unless canceled before the trial ends. Taxes may apply. You can manage or cancel via Family settings / the Stripe customer portal. Canceling stops future charges; you may retain access on Free subject to plan limits.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe others’ rights.
- Attempt to access other households’ data or disrupt the Service.
- Abuse Assist / AI (spam, scraping, or attempts to extract system prompts).
- Upload malware or excessive automated traffic beyond normal household use.
Your content
You retain ownership of household content you enter. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate Campfire (including Assist, backups, and support). You are responsible for the legality of content you store.
AI Assist
Assist may be inaccurate. Always review changes before relying on them for care, medical, legal, or financial decisions. AI features may consume Keystone AI credits per your plan.
Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation during early access.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR CAMPFIRE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Termination
You may stop using Campfire anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the Service. Provisions that should survive (including liability limits) will survive termination.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
